Who We Are
The Thetford Center Community Trust is a non-profit based in Thetford, Vermont. The TCCT has 501(c)(3) status. Several local residents founded the TCCT in 2024.
We’re focused on community. Our goal: To revive The Village Store so our neighbors in this beautiful town have a welcoming space to gather.
The Team
Tim Briglin
Tim is a longtime resident of Thetford Center. He represented Thetford in the Vermont House of Representatives from 2015-2023. Tim served as a Trustee of Thetford Academy from 2001-2012 and has volunteered for a variety of Vermont nonprofit groups. He is married to Laurel Mackin, an Orange County Assistant Judge.
Sarah Martel
Sarah and her husband Joe Deffner are also longtime Thetford Center residents. She serves in administration at Mascoma Bank, and previously served in various roles at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice. Sarah served on the Thetford Housing Committee for six years and has experience as Town Moderator.
Deecie Denison
Deecie, also a longtime Thetford resident, recently has focused on economic redevelopment In Thetford and Fairlee. Projects in Fairlee include 512 Main and The Denison. She has served on the Thetford Select Board, as Town Moderator, and on many local boards. She and her late husband, Jock, donated the former Fin and Feather land, including Ely Mountain, to the Upper Valley Land Trust.
Dom Perella
Dom is a part-time Thetford resident. His link to the community began in the 1980s, when a friend hosted his family here in the summers, and he now spends as much time as he can in Thetford with his wife Meg & their kids. Dom has been an executive at various companies and before that was a Supreme Court advocate in Washington, D.C. He serves on the board of A Sense of Home, a foster youth nonprofit, and volunteers as an AYSO soccer coach and referee.
